Helena began teaching prenatal yoga since the birth of her daughter Ana Mary, who is now 16 months old! Having Ana Mary naturally was the most amazing and opening experience for Helena. She continued to practice yoga throughout her pregnancy by attending prenatal yoga classes regularly. This inspired her to train and design her own prenatal yoga classes & courses.
During these classes Helena offers intimate and opening ways to assist pregnant mothers and bumps to be! Helena encourages lots of freedom within the sessions, concentrating on opening the hips and using adapted traditional yoga postures to help prepare the body and mind for birth. Deep relaxation (yoga nidra), is a major feature in Helena’s classes, as is meditation and the use of the breath.
Helena uses the gym ball for a fun approach to strengthening and opening the body and focuses on preparing the pelvic floor greatly. Friendly forums are offered at the beginning of classes to help with common topics during pregnancy.
