DYNAMIC FLOW YOGA – PRACTICE AND SEQUENCING
Dina’s teaching is informed by over 15 years experience and at least 800 hrs of accredited training with teachers such as Godfrey Devereux (Dynamic), John Scott (Ashtanga), Shiva Rea (Vinyasa), Sarah Powers (Yin), Judith Lasater (Restorative) and Clive Sheridan (Pranayama). Embracing various traditions, herclasses reflect this diversity, offering a space where we can connect with the innate wisdom of our own bodies by inviting rather than instructing, enjoying rather than enduring, and, as the late Maya Angelou said, “with some passion, some compassion, some humour and some style”. She is trained in Pre-and Post Natal Yoga, Yoga for those affected by Cancer, Chronic Fatigue and other debilitating conditions, and is a trainer/mentor on the Yoga Campus and Embodied Dancer Teacher Training Programs.
During this workshop we will explore Dynamic Flow (or Vinyasa) Yoga, looking at the principles of sequencing, encouraging play and discovery to create our own individually choreographed journeys through the body and mind. Using a structure as a map to guide us, we will learn we how to design and facilitate classes for beginners, intermediate students or our own practice. The day will be both practical as well as theoretical and is aimed at those who have already completed a teacher training, but also suitable for those looking to create their own self practice sequences.
