Helena is pleased to offer brand new classes for Pregnancy Yoga Bedfordshire – Prenatal Yoga, based in Biggleswade SG18 at the most beautiful new venue: The Courtyard for Health and Well-Being, 6 High Street, Biggleswade, SG18.
These pregnancy classes are for women that are 14 Weeks + pregnant.
What is Pregnancy Yoga?
Prenatal Yoga offers a wonderful & safe way to relax with your new growing baby, allowing you to stretch tight and growing muscles and to optimise the health of your back whilst opening your hips to prepare for birth. During pregnancy yoga we spend time on the breath, deepening it and linking it to yoga movements which can assist in labour. The breath is vital for relaxation and offers a gateway to any stressful situation! And at the end of each session of pregnancy yoga we offer a LONG relaxation that will float you home afterwards.
Helena has 2 children herself and had no pain relief with either births, and delivered both totally naturally – phew! She has been teaching pregnancy yoga for 5 years now after specialising in it and taking further training after the birth of her daughter in 2007; Helena is also a trained Doula.
Yoga during pregnancy helps you to feel safe inside your body, connected to your growing baby, more healthy, more in control of your weight and self; and above all allows you to have some important ‘me’ time before the arrival of your beautiful baby. Totally & highly recommended! Also great to meet other pregnant ladies 🙂

Here’s what people say:
Nicole was a lady that had a low lying placenta… she sent me this email after being told she would have to have a C section at 36 weeks!!!
‘Thought you might like an update . . .
After all the pregnancy dramas my placenta moved at last minute so they let me continue with pregnancy bring closely monitored.
I am delighted to announce that Lacie Isabella was born late yest afternoon, overdue in the end and weighing 8lb13.5!!
I used pregnancy yoga throughout & stood up for all the contractions as you had advised and I had a very quick and natural delivery with no drugs ( not even gas/air!!) So thank you so much for all your guidance. The yoga undoubtably helped me through it. ‘

I attended Helena’s pre-natal yoga class for around 17 weeks in 2012. I found Helena’s delivery really inspiring. I was never into yoga before I was pregnant but I really felt the benefit every week and it soon became addictive! The exercises were easy to learn and progressed into a routine with lots of style variety including a very popular relaxation section!
Helena was very down-to-earth and full if amazing childbirth and child-rearing tips that were invaluable. She is also a nutritionist by trade so advised us on our diets and ailments on the side if we were lucky!
I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be sending my female partner when she gets pregnant as this class is not to be missed! I have made so many genuine friends from the class that I still see every week socially!

Third time round pregnancy for me and I decided to go for the pre natel yoga this time round. Previous pregnancies were difficult and painful with spd, so this looked like a good way to prevent..and it did. I had a great pregnancy which I entirely credit to Helena and her classes and no spd! They were just the right amount of work to make you feel like you have done some exercise and relaxation. Helena also gave immense support regarding health worries, questions and nutrician. And I made some great friends. Highly recommend the class!!
I shall recommend you to local pregnant friends!!

I can’t recommend Helena’s class highly enough my only regret is that I can’t continue going! I had tried other antenatal yoga classes before but they were all too cautious. I was looking for a good workout in a safe manner, along with breathing and relaxation and this is exactly what I got. I’m convinced this played a part in me giving birth naturally with no pain relief and being fully dilated by the time I got to hospital!
