Foundation Yoga Teacher Training Peterborough

We are so excited to be offering our 7th Yoga Teacher Training this October. As with all of our trainings we only offer 12 places as we thrive on teaching smaller more intimate groups to deliver and support our learners in the best poissible way.

Our Yoga Teacher training course offers an amazing opportunity for students to grow and develop together into Yoga Teachers over the period of a full years training, this course will finish in September 2019. We pride ourselves with offering a fully supported and friendly, open community.

We have 20 face to face training days where we learn with Senior Yoga Teachers Helena Bingham, Philip Xerri, Dr Neelam Taneja and other excellent guest teachers. We cover Classical Hatha Yoga diving into Yoga Philosophy with Dr Neelam Taneja and detailed Pranayama with Philip Xerri.

Helena is the main tutor offering 20 years of experience, Helena is a grounded and open teacher allowing each individual course to develop organically over the year. Helena teaches Spiritual Nutrition on the course as this is her passion as a Naturopathic Nutritionist.

Anatomy and Physiology is detailed and there is an exam at Level 3 which is taken early on in the course. This offers essential underpinning knowledge to then move forwards into the mechanics of teaching Yoga.

During the year there is lots of opportunity to teach and for the exam you will be assessed on a full hour + long class. You are also required to complete a learner portfolio covering questions on Yoga Philosophy and fundamental knowledge of this amazing art.

Please get in touch with any questions. Helena teaches classes in Peterborough so please come along to meet her in person.

Pranayama isn’t to be messed with! Moving energy is serious business 🙂

Chakra Workshop

Join me for an informative and fun morning looking at the Chakras. Known as the spinning wheels of light, this subtle system moves Prana the way the physical body moves oxygen.

Through the practice of yoga we can often feel better and heal ourselves without really knowing how or why, and understanding the Chakras can be the missing link.

Where are they, what are they, what do they mean? We will cover all these questions in details and even use coloured pencils to enjoy a fun 5 hours together.

The day will start with a heated, fun Asana practice to awaken energy and spin some energy!

£50 including refreshments

A good way to start the year 🙂

Functional Anatomy with Jambo Truong

As a yoga teacher an understanding of functional anatomy is critical to being able to identify weak and under-functioning muscles and which yoga poses to use to engage them, build strength and flexibility.

This 2 day experiential learning course focuses on the 12 structural muscles that protect the spine and hold the skeleton in place.

This Functional Anatomy and Kinesiology module is 2 days in duration and will provide all students with the ability to perform many muscle testing and correction techniques to complement your full body Yoga massage. This module led by Jambo will go even deeper into the anatomy of postures and inter-relationships of the muscular skeletal systems.

These structural muscles are underused in our modern day living and underworked in most of our physical activity, yet have a huge relationship to the nervous system and functional movement.

By gaining a full understanding of anatomy you will be better placed to support your students and grow their practice.

– Understand what these key muscles do, how they interact, and how pain and injury can result when they’re not functioning properly

– In yourself and with partners, identify, examine and test these key muscles for function or weakness

– Experience using these muscles in poses – Learn how to activate them and improve their flexibility through yoga

BEWARE – you will smile a lot and laugh! Jambo likes to swear so be open for that!

£250 for this exceptional & necessary 2 days of training. Please contact me on the above email for more details – so not contact Jambo. There are limited places so if you are interested move fast 🙂

Train stations – Bourne End, Beaconsfield and High Wycombe.
